Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The University of Minnesota-Duluth women's hockey team has been picked to finish fourth in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) preseason coaches' poll, it was announced on Tuesday.
The Bulldogs did not receive a single first-place vote in the poll after finishing last season with a (21-14-1) record to place fourth in the league.
Defending NCAA Division I champion Minnesota was picked to finish first by the league's eight coaches, finishing with six of a possible seven first-place votes. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own team in the poll.
North Dakota and Wisconsin each received one first-place vote and finished tied for second in the preseason poll.
