Bulldogs Ranked Fifth in NCAA Central Region

Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The UMD softball team is ranked fifth in the most recent NCAA Central Region rankings, by which selections to the NCAA tournament are made.

The Bulldogs have a (31-17) overall record this season and trail three other Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) teams in the region rankings.

Automatic bids are granted to the winner of the NSIC and the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC), with the other six spots chosen on an at-large basis.
