Bulldogs' Toepfer Earns NSIC Yearly Award

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) senior Cole Toepfer has been named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) men's indoor track athlete of the year, it was announced on Tuesday.

The Eagan, Minn. native won the mile at the NSIC championships this season, that in addition to finishing second in the 3,000-meters and third in the 5,000-meters.

He qualified for three events at the NCAA Division II indoor track and field championships, but he will compete in just the mile and the distance medley relay. That national meet is set to be held March 14-15 in Salem, NC.
