Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The UMD volleyball team moved up one spot this week to become the nation's new #1-ranked team in Division II, following two home wins over the weekend.
The Bulldogs, now (25-0) this season, jumped Tampa in the national polls following the Spartans' first loss of the season on Friday.
UMD, off to the best start in program history, is now one of only four remaining teams in Division II volleyball with an undefeated record.
They will be at home again Tuesday night when they host the defending NCAA champion Concordia-St. Paul, a rematch of earlier this season when the Bulldogs handed the Golden Bears their first loss of the season.
That match is set to get underway at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday night at Romano Gymnasium as UMD attempts to set an all-time attendance record.
