'Dogs Beat the Tigers, Earn First NCHC Win

Colorado Springs, CO (NNCNOW.com) --- The University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) men's hockey team outshot Colorado College 43-13 en route to beating the Tigers 5-1 to earn their first National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) win on Saturday.

Alex Iafallo scored his first goal as a Bulldog and added another in the third. Justin Crandall also added two goals for UMD with Kyle Osterberg scoring in the closing minutes of the game.

Goaltender Aaron Crandall stopped 12 shots in his first start of the 2013-14 season.

UMD (2-1-1) resumes action next Friday at home against the University of Notre Dame .
