Ex-Bulldog Brown Inks New Deal with Lightning

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Former University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) standout J.T. Brown agreed to a two-year extension worth $1.9 million with the Tampa Bay Lightning on Wednesday, the team announced.

In 63 games with the Lightning last year, the 23-year-old finished with four goals and 19 points.

Brown spent two seasons with UMD, racking up 40 goals and 44 assists while also helping the Bulldogs to the 2011 NCAA Division I championship.
