Houghton, MI (NNCNOW.com) --- Four goals in the first 10 minutes on Friday night helped the University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) men's hockey team earn a 7-3 win over Michigan Tech, the Bulldogs' sixth straight win in Houghton, Mich.
Freshman Austin Farley scored two goals and had one assist in the winning effort for UMD, finishing as the only UMD player with mutiple goals.
Adam Krause, Mike Seidel. Caleb Herbert, Joe Basaraba, and Justin Crandall also tallied on Friday night for the Bulldogs, with the seven goals marking the team's highest offensive output this year.
Matt McNeely made 27 saves and allowed the three goals to earn the win in net for the Bulldogs.
UMD is now (4-7-2) overall this season and (2-5-2) in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA).
