Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Five different St. Scholastica athletes earned Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) player of the week honors including Jake Jensen, Alec French, Caleb Yurek, Logan WIlliamson, and Chris Lawson, the league announced Tuesday.
Jensen led the St. Scholastica football team with three rushing touchdowns and averaged 13.8 yards per carry, a program record in the win over Martin Luther on Saturday.
His teammate, defensive back French, set a program record with 21 tackles. He also racked up an interception and blocked a field goal.
in men's soccer, Yurek helped CSS in putting up two shutouts against Northwestern and North Central over the weekend.
On the women's side, Williamson scored the team's opening goal on Friday while also adding an assist.
In men's cross country, Lawson paced the Saints for the fourth straight race finishing 63rd out of 566 runners at the UW-Oshkosh Brooks Invitational.
