Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Former University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) tight end Jeremy Reierson has accepted an invitation to the rookie camp of the Minnesota Vikings, he confirmed to NNCNOW.com on Sunday night.
While the Rio, Wisc. native didn't hear from the Vikings throughout the scouting process, he's excited for the opportunity.
During the 2013 season with the Bulldogs, Reierson caught 12 passes for 159 yards including five touchdowns, second-highest on the team.
Reierson spent two seasons at the University of Wisconsin before transferring to UMD. He redshirted his freshman year and saw no intercollegiate action the following fall.
In his final campaign at UMD, Reierson was named All-NSIC honorable mention.
