St. Cloud, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Former UMD All-American wrestler Ron McClure was officially inducted into the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Hall of Fame on Wednesday, joining seven others to make up the class of 2012.

McClure earned NCAA Division II All-American honors in 1993 and 1994, the only Bulldog wrestler to ever earn that distinction more than once.

During his senior season in 1993-94, McClure amassed an overall record of (27-1), with his only loss coming in the 142-pound title match at the NCAA Division II Championships.

He finished his four-year career at UMD with a record of (108-17), qualifying for three NCAA Division II national tournaments and one NAIA championship event.

McClure was named UMD's outstanding senior male athlete in 1993-94, and he was inducted into the school's athletic Hall of Fame in 2008.

The former UMD standout and his seven 2012 classmates were officially inducted Wednesday during a ceremony in St. Cloud, part of the NSIC's 13th annual Summer Kickoff event.
