Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) men's hockey team scored four goals in the second period on Friday night in a 5-4 win over #16-ranked Nebraska-Omaha at AMSOIL Arena in Duluth, Minn.
The Bulldogs fell behind 3-1 after the first period, with freshman Austin Farley's 15th goal of the season the home team's only tally of the first 20 minutes.
Then came the second period, with Dan DeLisle and Joe Basaraba scoring early on the tie the game at 3-3 and then Mike Seidel scoring twice in 37 seconds to make it a 5-3 game headed to the third.
Matt McNeely made 24 saves in the winning effort for UMD, with the game marking the second-to-last regular season game the Bulldogs will play as a member of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA).
UMD and Nebraska-Omaha will close out their two-game weekend series on Saturday, with drop of the puck set for 7:07 p.m. at AMSOIL Arena. The game can be seen on live television in the Northland on the My 9 Sports Network.
