Four Saints Land on ABCA All-Region Team

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The St. Scholastica baseball team had four players selected to one of three American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) All-Midwest Region teams; it was announced on Friday morning.

Sophomore Tyler Duex and junior Andy Davis landed on the second team all-region while freshman Trevor Bernsdorf and senior Tyler Henderson found their way on to the third-team all-region.

Duex all players from the Midwest Region with a .532 on-base percentage, sixth highest in Division III.

Prior to the NCAA Tournament, Davis was atop the Midwest Region with eight victories and a strikeout-to-walk ration of 8.29.

Bernsdorf finished second on the team in batting average (.361) and was named the Midwest Region's Rookie of the Year by D3baseball.com.

Henderson, who landed a spot on the All-UMAC first team, was third in the conference with a .358 batting average and second with a .529 on-base percentage in league games.
