Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The St. Scholastica softball team had four players selected as the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Scholar-Athletes; it was announced on Wednesday.

Darcy Roach, Tracy Roach, Paige Stalboerger, and Sydney Gordon all earned the honors. It was the first time for all four players to receive the honor. The Saints have had at least four players named scholar-athletes in every season dating back to 2002.

The award is given to any player submitted by a member coach who achieved a 3.50 grade point average or higher during the 2012-13 academic year.
