GK Reed Ties Shutout Record, Saints Men Roll

Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Senior goalkeeper Sam Reed tied a program record with his 30th career shutout in the St. Scholastica Saints 5-0 win Saturday over Bethany Lutheran.

Reed made five saves on the day to earn the victory and the shutout as the Saints improve to (6-1) this season and (2-0) in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference.

FORMER GREYHOUND KEHTEL AGAIN LEADS SAINTS WOMEN

St. Scholastica freshman and former Duluth East Greyhound Kelsey Kehtel scored the game-winning goal for the second consecutive day as the Saints defeated Bethany Lutheran 2-0 on Saturday.

The Saints improve to (4-3) overall this season and (1-1) in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference with the win.

Bailey Mahlum needed to make only one save to earn her second win and second shutout of the 2011 season.
