St. Cloud, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Hermantown, Minn. native and St. Cloud State senior forward Drew LeBlanc has been named the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) offensive player of the week, it was announced on Tuesday.

LeBlanc notched a goal and two assists this past weekend in St. Cloud State's sweep of Bemidji State, helping to extend the Huskies' current unbeaten streak to six games.

The former Hermantown standout is now leading NCAA Division I with 30 assists this season, and he's also second in nation with 38 total points.

LeBlanc was also named earlier this season as one of 77 initial candidates for this year's Hobey Baker Award, given each year to the best player in men's college hockey.
