Minneapolis, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Hibbing, Minn. native Pat Micheletti will be one of 13 people inducted this October as the Class of 2014 into the University of Minnesota "M' Club's Hall of Fame, it was announced on Thursday afternoon.
"Everyone who earns a coveted `M' as a varsity letterwinner at Minnesota has accomplished something exceptional," "M" Club director George Adzick said. "Those who are being inducted into the `M' Club Hall of Fame this year are joining an extraordinary group, those whose achievements surpassed exceptional and became an integral part of the history of Gopher Athletics."
Micheletti played men's hockey for the Golden Gophers and remains second all-time in career goals and total points while ranking third all-time in career assists.
He went on to a long professional career, mostly in the minor leagues, and played in 12 games for the Minnesota North Stars during the 1987-88 season.
This year's class will be officially inducted into the Hall of Fame at a ceremony in the DQ Club Room at TCF Bank Stadium on Oct. 9 at 6:00 p.m.
