H'town Native LeBlanc, SCSU Fall in Nat'l Semis

Pittsburgh, PA (NNCNOW.com) --- The Quinnipiac men's hockey team scored three goals in the first period on Thursday night en route to a 4-1 win over St. Cloud State University (SCSU) in the NCAA Frozen Four semifinals at the CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pa.

With the loss, Hermantown, Minn. native Drew LeBlanc has played his final collegiate game with the Huskies. This 2012-13 season, he finished with 13 goals and 37 assists.

Jordan Samuels-Thomas, Ben Arnt, and Jeremy Langlois scored in the first period for Quinnipiac, with Kellen Jones adding another in the second period for the Bobcats.

Joey Benik scored the lone goal of the game for SCSU, that coming in the second period to make it a 3-1 game at that point.

The Huskies finish the year with an overall record of (25-16-1) and having made the first NCAA Frozen Four appearance in program history.
