St. Cloud, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Hermantown, Minn. native and former St. Cloud State University (SCSU) forward Drew LeBlanc has been voted by the fans as the 2013 Premier Player of College Hockey, it was announced on Wednesday.

LeBlanc led all of NCAA Division I this season with 37 assists, adding to that 13 goals to finish seventh in the nation with 50 points.

A fifth-year senior captain for SCSU, LeBlanc helped lead his team this year to its first-ever NCAA Frozen Four as well as its first-ever share of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) regular season title.

LeBlanc was also named this year the recipient of the Hobey Baker Award, given each year to the top player in men's college hockey. He was also the WCHA player of the year and scholar-athlete of the year, becoming the first player to ever win both awards in the same season.

The former Hermantown standout signed a one-year contract with the Chicago Blackhawks following the season, and he has yet to make his NHL debut with that club.
