'Jackets Baseball Tabbed 7th in WIAC

Superior, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- The UW-Superior baseball team has been picked to finish seventh in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) preseason poll of head coaches and sports information directors, which was released on Wednesday.

The Yellowjackets have a first-year head coach this season in Nick Bursik, who takes over for the program's all-time wins leader Eddy Morgan. Bursik was an assistant coach for UW-Superior in 2013 and was a player for the Yellowjackets from 2009-12.

UW-Superior last season had an overall record of (9-15), with not one of those games played in Superior, Wis. because of poor weather and field conditions.

Below are listed the full results of the WIAC preseason poll, with UW-Stevens Point edging out defending league champion UW-Whitewater as the preseason favorite.
