Lumberjills' GK Weed is UMAC Defensive POW

Ashland, WI (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Northland women's soccer goalkeeper Sarah Weed has been named the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) defensive player of the week, it was announced on Tuesday.

Weed made 32 saves in three matches this past week, helping the Lumberjills post a (1-2) record in those games.

The Northland senior then traveled to Duluth on Tuesday to take on St. Scholastica, making 19 saves in that 11-0 loss for the Lumberjills.
