Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) women's soccer team just didn't have the scoring to keep up with MSU-Mankato on Friday night, falling 5-1 at Malosky Stadium.

Jennifer Smith scored the Bulldogs' lone goal in the game, that coming in the first 10 minutes of the first half. Dani Potter and Ashley Brown were credited with the assists on Smith's third goal of the season.

Freshman goalkeeper Marissa Rosa made eight saves in the contest, allowing all five goals to take the loss for UMD.

The Bulldogs are now (4-6-2) overall this season and will next be in action on October 14 against Concordia-St. Paul at 1:00 p.m. from Malosky Stadium.
