Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Ramsey, Minn. native Nick McCormack has signed his national letter of intent to play Division I college hockey at the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD), rounding out the Bulldogs' 2014-15 recruiting class.

McCormack verbally committed to UMD earlier in May, and the defenseman will join Hermantown, Minn. native Jared Thomas and Esko, Minn. native Karson Kuhlman along with Brett Boehm, Blake Young, and Kasimir Kaskisuo as UMD's freshman class for next winter.

McCormack spent this past winter in the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) with the Brooks Bandits, totaling 12 goals and 27 assists for 39 total points as a team staple on the blue line.

The future Bulldog played three seasons of Minnesota high school hockey with Elk River, and he then played one season with the Cloquet-based Minnesota Wilderness in the Superior International Ice Hockey League (SIJHL).
