Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC), the conference in which the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) plays, has named Erin Lind its new commissioner, it was announced on Wednesday morning.
"My vision for the NSIC is to stand as the model for Division II conferences, achieving a high level of academic and athletic success," Lind said. "The conference will represent integrity on and off the competition field. Ensuring fair, equitable and enriching athletic competition that allows for personal and professional growth for student-athletes, coaches and administrators. I want the NSIC to produce balanced student-athletes who, when their academic and athletic careers are over, are ready to make a difference in our communities. I look forward to working in collaboration with all stakeholders in the NSIC to see that we provide all student-athletes with a memorable and enriching experience."
Lind has served as the NSIC association commissioner and senior woman administrator since 2005, and she will become the conference's fifth commissioner starting on July 1.
