No. 1 Gophers Stay Unbeaten, Beat No. 7 UMD

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The No. 1 University of Minnesota women's hockey team scored three third period goal en route to beating No. 7 University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) 4-0 on Friday night for their 54th straight win.

Four different Gophers scored including Sarah Davis, Megan Lorence, Dani Cameranesi, and Rachel Bona. Minnesota outshot UMD 40-26.

Bulldogs netminder Kayla Black recorded 36 saves while Jamie Kenyon led UMD with 5 shots in the game.

UMD (2-2-1) and Minnesota (5-0-0) meet again on Saturday night at 6:07 p.m. at AMSOIL Arena.
