No. 19 Badgers Hold Off No. 25 Gophers for Axe

Minneapolis, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The No. 19 Wisconsin football team used a solid effort from running back James White along with a stifling defense to hold off No. 25 Minnesota 20-7 for the 10th straight time on Saturday at TCF Bank Stadium.

White finished with 125 yards on the ground and a touchdown as the Badgers won the battle for Paul Bunyan's Axe. Jared Abbrederis added seven catches for 67 yards.

Wisconsin linebacker Chris Borland recovered two fumbled and forced another to tie a NCAA record. The Badgers forced three turnovers as a team and held the Gophers to 185 total yards.

Wisconsin (9-2) will face off against Penn State next weekend while Minnesota (8-3) travels to Michigan State.
