Fayette, Iowa (NNCNOW.com) --- The No. 7 Bulldogs scored on a pair of defensive touchdowns and never trailed as they rolled over Upper Iowa University 39-17 in their first road test of the 2013 season on Saturday night.

The University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) scored on its first series of the game thanks to a 52 yard scramble from redshirt freshman quarterback Drew Bauer. From there, the scoring broke loose for the Bulldogs.

Nathan Zibloski scored his first collegiate touchdown with a 48 interception return. Austin Sikorski added a score for the Bulldogs, and Jeremy Reierson caught an eight-yard strike from Bauer for six points.

Bauer finished the game 15-of-23 for 128 yards in his second collegiate start.

Defensive lineman Buma Foncham highlighted the third quarter with a tipped pass that he returned 60 yards for a touchdown. It's just the second time since 1988 UMD had two pick sixes in a single game.

In two games, the Bulldogs have racked up six turnovers. The Peacocks, however, held an edge in total yards 453-407 but did most of their damage through the air.

UMD finished with 263 yards on the ground with Sikorski leading all rushers with 86 yards on 11 carries.

Senior cornerback Kenny Chowa racked up a game-high and personal best 13 total tackles while senior strong safety Travis Nordhus was in on nine stops.

The Bulldogs (2-0) return home next Saturday to host defending NSIC champion and No. 2 Minnesota State University-Mankato in their Hall of Fame game. Kickoff is set for 6:05 p.m.
