Northland WBB Earns Top National Academic Honor

Ashland, WI (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The Northland women's basketball team has been recognized by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) on the Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll, it was announced on Tuesday.

The Lumberjills were the top academic team nationwide in Division III women's basketball, carrying a combined grade point average (GPA) of 3.706 this season.

"This is such a great achievement for the young women in our basketball program and testament to the quality education they receive at Northland College," head coach Bill Wilson said. "I am not only proud of our student-athletes, but I am proud of our faculty and staff who inspire all our students to be the best they can be."

This marks the first time atop the WBCA Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll for Northland.
