Northland's Loy Named an All-American

Ashland, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- Northland College senior Jayna Loy was named to the NCAA Division III All-American third team by the National Fastpitch Coaches' Association (NFCA); it was announced on Friday afternoon.

The Ontario, Calif. native ranked 13th in the nation in slugging percentage, 16th in batting average, and 17th in on-base percentage.

As a utility player, Loy was named All-UMAC first team and was the UMAC defensive pitcher of the year.

After finishing her career as a Lumberjill this spring, she sits as the school's all-time leader in batting average (.445), slugging percentage (.782), on-base percentage (.496), doubles (41), home runs (24), RBIs (107, and total bases (276).
