Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- If the St. Scholastica volleyball team is to return to the NCAA Division III tournament, head coach Dana Moore knows that her five returning seniors must be at their best.

"When this group of seniors came in, they were led by three great seniors," Moore said. "That year, we won the conference tournament championship as the underdog. We didn't have the [automatic qualifier] yet, but it set the tone. That's what I said to these five returning seniors, it's up to you to set the tone now that was set for you when you came in as a freshman."

The Saints return the 2011 Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) player of the year in Anna Zyvoloski, who also earned All-American honorable mention status from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA).

St. Scholastica starts its 2012 season with a road trip to New York for a 12-team tournament, with the team's first game set for August 31 against Houghton.
