Saints Earn USTFCCCA Academic Honors

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The St. Scholastica men's and women's track and field teams have both selected as U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division III All-Academic teams, it was announced this week.

The men's team earns the honor for a fifth straight season and are the only Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) men's team to be chosen, that after finishing the 2014 spring semester with a 3.21 cumulative grade point average.

The women's team, meanwhile, earns the honor for a seventh straight season and is one of two UMAC women's teams to be chosen, that after being tied for 20th nationally with a 3.51 cumulative grade point average in the 2014 spring semester.

Along with both teams being honored, Bre Adams, Taylor Gibson, Becky Huberty, Chelsea Johnson, and Jeremy Peterson all earned individual All-Academic awards from the USTFCCCA.
