Cedar Rapids, Iowa (NNCNOW.com) --- The St. Scholastica softball led by two runs after one but couldn't hang on as the No. 13 University of St. Thomas ousted the Saints 7-4 in the NCAA Division III Cedar Rapids Regional on Saturday.

Nikki Logergren put the Saints on the board first before Molly Jazdzewski knocked in another run to make it 2-0 CSS in the first inning. The Tommies answered with four straight runs before CSS tied it at 4-4 in the fifth.

In the sixth inning, St. Thomas mustered three runs off of Chrisi Mizera to edge out St. Scholastica. Mizera threw a complete game for the Saints, giving up seven runs on seven hits while striking out four.

With their second loss in as many days, the Saints are eliminated from the tournament. CSS finishes the season (27-12).
