Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- St. Scholastica's Cory Gebhard and Alec French have been named to the academic all-District 6 Division III team, it was announced on Thursday.

The honor is voted on by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), and District 6 includes Division III institutions from Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan.

Gebhard is a junior at St. Scholastica majoring in physical therapy, and he owns a 3.98 cumulative grade point average. On the field, he leads the Saints this season with eight receiving touchdowns.

French, meanwhile, is double majoring at St. Scholastica in accounting and finance, and he maintains a 3.94 cumulative grade point average. He leads the Saints so far this season with 80 tackles, and he's also added two sack and three interceptions.

The two are the second and third St. Scholastica players to ever earn the CoSIDA academic honor, with the first being Superior, Wis. native Sean Graskey in 2011.
