Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- St. Scholastica men's hockey captain Daman Milsom plans to bike across his native Canada this summer, all to raise organ transplant awareness.
Milsom and his high school friend, Kibby Evans, hope to raise $50,000 for their cause and see 10,000 Canadians become new organ donors.
The "Trekking 4 Transplants" bike ride will span from Cape Spear, Newfoundland to Victoria, British Columbia, or about 5,600 miles.
The pair will set out on their adventure in May after Milsom graduates from St. Scholastica, and expect the trip to take about three months.
All of the money will be donated to the Transplant Research Foundation of British Columbia.
More information on the efforts of Milsom and Evans can be found at the Trekking 4 Transplants web site.
