Saints Men, Women Win UMAC Track and Field Titles

Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The St. Scholastica men's and women's track and field teams cruised to the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) indoor championships on Saturday afternoon in Duluth.

For the men, it was their third straight UMAC title. The team won seven events on the day and broke three program records.

The women, meanwhile, won all but three events on the day and Duluth Central graduate Laurel Ohaju was named the athlete of the meet after setting meet records in the 200-meter and 400-meter dash.

The Saints' head coach Kirk Nauman was also named the UMAC track and field coach of the year.
