Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The St. Scholastica men's soccer team has been picked as a unanimous favorite in this year's Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC), that according to a preseason poll of league coaches released on Wednesday.
The Saints received all seven possible first-place votes, that as the program tries in 2013 for a fourth consecutive UMAC regular season championship.
St. Scholastica set several offensive records in the 2012 season, including leading all of NCAA Division III in goals per game (4.13), total goals (95), total assists (103) and total points (293).
Nine starters are returning from that team for the Saints, including the nation's leading scorer and 2012 UMAC offensive player of the year in junior forward Andrew Jenkins.
