Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- St. Scholastica nordic ski coach Chad Salmela might get the most TV air time out of any Northlander as he gets ready to be a part of the NBC broadcast for his third Olympic Games in Sochi.
Salmela will be the voice of three different events in the biathlon, the nordic, and nordic combined. He also worked in the broadcast booth in both the Vancouver and Torino games.
Although it wasn't his dream to do so, Salmela knows it's been a good consolation prize.
"I always dreamed of being an Olympic athlete and unfortunately I wasn't, but it's definitely nice to be involved with the Olympics at least once every four years," said Salmela. "I don't know that I'll get to do it at the next Olympics, and I just take every Games like it's kind of a gift."
