Saints Sweep NCHA Player of the Week Honors

Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- St. Scholastica's Colin Rundell and Nina Waidacher have both been named the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) players of the week, it was annnounced on Tuesday.

Rundell, a sophomore goaltender for the Saints, helped his team clinch the conference's #2 seed over the weekend. He earned the first shutout of the season on Friday night against UW-River Falls and then the win Saturday against UW-Eau Claire.

Waidacher, a freshman forward for the Saints women, scored five points in the team's weekend series against Concordia. She had a goal and an asisst in Friday night's 2-2 tie, and she followed that with a two goal, one assist performance in Saturday's 4-2 win.

This is the first time St. Scholastica has swept the NCHA player of the week awards.
