Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Both the St. Scholastica mens' and womens' track and field teams have been named a Division III all-academic team by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), the school announced Monday.
For the men, this marks the third consecutive year earning this accolade and fourth overall. The team finished with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.35, tied for 19th-best in Division III.
The women, meanwhile, earn the USTFCCCA honor for the fifth straight year after posting a cumulative grade-point average of 3.53. That mark is tied for 10th-best in Division III, marking the third straight year the Saints have finished in the nation's top 10 academically.
Last week, mens' team athlete Tom Lysico and womens' team athletes Alec Seeley and Rachel Miller were all named individual academic award winners by the USTFCCCA.
