Saints Trio Named Preseason All-Americans

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- St. Scholastica seniors Pete Stanley, Blake Cedarleaf, and Mike Theismann were named Preseason All-Americans by USA College Football, it was announced on Tuesday morning.

Stanley was named a first team Preseason All-American after started every game in the past two seasons. He's also a two-time first team All-Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) selection.

Cedarleaf landed a spot on the Preseason All-America Second Team after finishing last season with 7.5 sacks. He also had two forced fumbles and five pass breakups.

Finally, Theismann, a place kicker, also found his way to the Second Team. A year ago, the St. Cloud, Minn. native was a preseason All-American by the Beyond Sports Network.

The Saints will open up the 2014 season against Ripon College on Sept. 6.
