Saints Volleyball Beats Lumberjills, Yellowjackets

Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- It took the St. Scholastica Saints volleyball team less than two hours to sweep both the Northland Lumberjills and the UWS Yellowjackets on Wednesday night.

Anna Zyvoloski led the Saints in the Northland match with 15 kills while Megan Windschidtl added seven. Sarah Kurtovich also helped out the home team's attack with 29 set assists.

Zyvoloski tied for the team lead in the UWS match, as both she and Hibbing native Paige Hardy finished with 16 kills. Former Northwestern Tiger Nikki Hughes paced the Saints defense in the night's second match with 11 digs.

St. Scholastica is now (22-6) overall this season, (11-1) in conference play, and will host Crown College and Northwestern this weekend to finish off the regular season.
