Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The St. Scholastica women's hockey team advanced in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) O'Brien Cup playoffs on Saturday with a 2-1 win over Lake Forest, while UW-Superior was eliminated after a 6-5 loss to St. Norbert.

Duluth, Minn. native Nikki Logergren and Monika Waidacher were the goal scorers for the Saints, with Teraysa White making 32 saves in the winning effort.

It's the first-ever playoff series win for the St. Scholastica program, and it moves them into the O'Brien Cup semifinals to face St. Norbert. That game is scheduled for 3:05 p.m. on March 1 in River Falls, Wis.
