Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The St. Scholastica women's hockey team will play in the postseason for the first time ever in that program's short, two-year history.
By way of a Concordia loss to St. Norbert on Wednesday night, the Saints have clinched a spot in the top eight of the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) standings.
The women have an overall record of (11-6-4) and currently sit in fourth place in the NCHA, with the top four teams earning home ice advantage for the first round of the playoffs.
The team has four regular season games left, starting this weekend with a pair against Concordia on Friday and Saturday. The Friday game will start at 7:00 p.m., and the Saturday contest is set for a 2:00 p.m. start time.
