Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The St. Scholastica women's soccer team beat Minnesota-Morris 2-1 on Saturday in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference championship game, but the men's team to the Cougars 6-5 in shootout.
The women got goals from Duluth East graduate Kelsey Kehtel and Taylor Cunningham, earning a berth into the Division III NCAA tournament.
The men got out to a 2-0 lead thanks to a pair of goals from Kyle Farrar, but saw the lead disappear at the end of regulation.
The two teams played 20 minutes of scoreless overtime before Minnesota-Morris earned the victory in shootout fashion.
