Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- St. Scholastica's Kyle Moody and Alec Seeley have received Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) weekly honors, it was announced on Tuesday.
Moody was named the UMAC baseball player of the week after helping the Saints to a three-game sweep of Crown, hitting 5-for-9 and driving in nine runs.
The St. Scholastica senior is working on a current 17-game hitting streak for the Saints.
Seeley, meanwhile, was named the UMAC women's track and field athlete of the week after breaking a program record in the hammer throw at the Saint Mary's Open.
Seeley's toss of 172 feet, 3 inches is not only the best in school history, it also ranks as the eighth best in NCAA Division III this season.
