Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The St. Scholastica men's soccer team has been picked as the preseason favorite in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) coaches' poll, it was announced on Thursday.
The Saints finished 2011 with a (16-3-2) overall record and won the conference regular season title for a second consecutive year.
St. Scholastica opens the season on August 31 against UW-Whitewater, with that game set for 12:00 p.m. in Duluth.
Northland College was picked to finish eighth in the preseason coaches' poll, that after finishing the 2011 season with a (1-15-1) overall record.
