Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- UMD senior pitchers Collin Stinogel and Mark Shaver have been named to the all-conference second team in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC), it was announced Tuesday.

Stinogel was the primary pitching option for the Bulldogs in the 2012 season, going (4-3) with a 2.84 earned runs average.

He gave up just 47 hits this season, the fifth fewest in the NSIC, and he fired five complete games for the Bulldogs.

Shaver, meanwhile, played the role of both starter and reliever for UMD this year. He boasted a team-best 1.44 earned runs average and has struck out 35 batters for the Bulldogs so far.

UMD is the #6 seed in this week's NSIC postseason tournament and will be facing #1-seeded Minnesota State-Mankato on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
