Three Saints Earn UMAC Weekly Honors

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Three different St. Scholastica athletes earned Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Player of the Week Honors including Alec French, Joe Watt, and Kelsey Kehtel, the league announced on Tuesday.

French was named the football defensive player of the week after recording 12 tackles, including a half sack. He also returned a fumble 13 yards for the touchdown on MacMurray's first play of the game.

In men's soccer, Watt was named the offensive player of the week. Watt racked up 13 points over the week including four goals and a game winner to keep the Saints undefeated in conference play.

On the women's side, Kehtel recorded four goals and in two assists in two games over the weekend. The Duluth, Minn. native scored a hat trick versus Martin Luther along with two assists and added another goal on Friday. She now leads the UMAC in goals scored.
