UMD Fourth in Season's First Region Rankings

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) volleyball team is ranked fourth in the season's first official NCAA Division II Central Region rankings, which were released on Wednesday.

The top eight teams on this list at year's end will qualify for the NCAA Division II tournament, as will the winner of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) postseason tournament.

UMD is (24-2) overall this season and is one of six NSIC teams on the list, with the only conference foe ranked above the Bulldogs being top-ranked Concordia-St. Paul.

Below are listed the full results of the NCAA Division II Central Region rankings, with a team's overall record listed in parentheses.

3. Washburn (25-4)
4. Minnesota-Duluth (24-2)
5. Southwest Minnesota State (18-6)
6. Harding (21-7)
7. Nebraska-Kearney (22-3)
8. Augustana (18-6)
9. Northern State (19-4)
10. Wayne State (18-7)
