Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) women's hockey team will play No. 1 Minnesota this Friday night in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) semifinals, but the Bulldogs are confident that they can be just the second team this season to knock off the Golden Gophers.

"I think the biggest thing is that it's playoffs now, and it's anyone's game," Duluth, Minn. native and UMD junior defenseman Emma Stauber said. "We may not be the most talented, but if you work harder than a talented team, the outcome can be a lot different than what people expect."

UMD will play Minnesota on Friday night at 7:07 p.m. in Bemidji, Minn., with the winner advancing to Saturday's championship game against either No. 2 Wisconsin or No. 9 North Dakota.
