Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The UMD women's hockey team donated $7,950 this week to the Essentia Health Foundation's Breast Health Program following an on-ice fundraiser this past Saturday.

The Bulldogs wore pink jerseys on Saturday night against St. Cloud State, autographed them, and held an online auction.

The money will be used to help in the fight against breast cancer, and head coach Shannon Miller said the team was happy to participate in such a meaningful event.

The Bulldogs swept the weekend series against St. Cloud State, and head on the road this Saturday and Sunday to face the North Dakota Fighting Sioux.
